Administrators manage platform configuration, users, provider health, backups, and operational recovery.

Common Admin Tasks

  • manage users and invitations;
  • configure registration settings;
  • review provider health;
  • retry failed transcription jobs;
  • inspect feedback and logs;
  • manage AI agents;
  • recover in-person transcription artifacts;
  • run backups;
  • review public/federation settings.

Access Control

Keep admin access limited. Most community work should happen through community-space roles and invitations rather than broad platform administration.

Operational Safety

Before running destructive or migration operations:

  1. Create a backup.
  2. Confirm which database or volume will be changed.
  3. Check current container health.
  4. Apply the smallest possible change.
  5. Verify after the operation.
